The Gourmet Butcher was established in 2016 by a team who were somewhat frustrated with the standard of meat offered in the current market place. They wanted to offer products of a guaranteed high quality taste and provenance to customers seeking reasonably priced, premium meat.
Being a third generation farmer, one member of the team has long established roots in farming, whilst our master butcher has over 40 years’ experience. Their combined knowledge and passion for livestock, as well as the end product, is incomparable. Our team firmly believe that the farming and butchery sectors should work closely together to ensure not only the best product, but also complete traceability from farm to fork.
We source only from British farms, built by honest, hardworking farmers who are passionate about the ethical rearing of livestock in well managed farms. Being perfectionists, our team meticulously selects each product to ensure the finest quality, taste and British provenance.
Years of butchery experience means that each carcass is prepared using traditional butchery and maturing techniques – ensuring the most tender and tastiest cut is provided for the customer.
